Assetz comments on the CML Q2 buy to let and arrears and repossessions figures

Stuart Law, Chief Executive of Assetz comments on the Q2 CML arrears and repossessions and buy-to-let figures released today:

“The so called buy to let crisis promoted by most commentators never really came to fruition and statistics such as improving arrears and significantly improved new loan terms point to residential property investment continuing to go from strength to strength. There never was the sell off touted as certain by so many naysayers and in fact the market conditions lend themselves to almost all categories of investor getting involved in this market, provided they have the capital to invest. We are now most definitely in an investors' market unlike the speculators' market we found ourselves in before the crisis and we continue to see huge demand from savvy, longer term income seeking investors.”
